Some background 

Thank you for visiting my personal portfolio!  I hope you enjoy looking through samples of my work.  These images range from straight from the camera to enhanced with artwork or text.  I've also included some of my design projects.

 

My interests and background are very diverse, but I'll share with you my photography backgound.  I received my first camera (a Kodak 110 FILM camera) when I was 9 years old, and proceeded to take so many photos of the neighbor's dog that my parents invoked a 3 photos per subject rule - that would serve me well later.  As a young teen, I had fun competing with my photos in some local events. Throughout HS and college, I continued taking photos at family gatherings and outings with friends.  It was during graduate school in 1995 that I was taking some snapshots at a friends' wedding, and was inadvertantly getting in the way of the professional photographer hired to shoot a the event...little did I know that the photographer, Kevin, was my future hubby.  Well, after we met at the reception, one thing led to another, and we started dating.  I would occasionally accompany him to assist at photo shoots, but very quickly became a lead photographer for sports, weddings, and fine portraits...and partner for his studio.  We married three years almost to the day after we met.  Kevin opened Elite Photography in 1993, and we have been working together full-time since 1996.  I love the diversity of my job and still have a great time shooting for work and for fun.

 

This portfolio is to share some of my personal favorites, including photos for assignments, and others taken while we travel with our young children to explore the beautiful world around us.  Enjoy, and please email or give me a call if you would like to chat.
